Family and Community Engagement at Ysgol Greenhill

Ysgol Greenhill values the importance of parental/carer involvement in children’s learning and the life of our school. Every parent/carer wants the best for their child and by working together to form strong relationships, listening to each other and building on what is learned, we can achieve the very best outcomes for our pupils.

As a secondary school, Ysgol Greenhill recognises there are differences in our engagement opportunities compared to when pupils are in primary school education. It can be difficult to know how to support your child through secondary school as they gain greater autonomy, the curriculum is more complex, learners have more than one teacher, school is larger and usually further from home, and parents/carers come into the school building less frequently.
